Privacy Policy
Effective August 20, 2026
The short version
Coin Tray collects no data whatsoever. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs that collect anything. Gameplay, the challenge creator, exact puzzle verification, and local storage all work in airplane mode.
What is stored, and where
The app saves campaign progress and preferences — unlocked levels, stars, best scores, vault rolls, tutorial state, sound, haptics, coin counters, and coin symbols. It also saves custom challenges, editor drafts, device-local challenge names, exact-solution proofs, and custom best scores. All of this is written to the app's private storage on your device.
Nobody, including the developer, can see it. Because it is stored locally with no account attached, deleting the app deletes this data permanently, and it does not sync to your other devices.
Optional sharing and external pages
When you choose Share Link, Coin Tray encodes the puzzle layout and score targets into a self-contained link and opens the standard iOS share sheet. The destination you choose receives that link. Coin Tray does not upload the puzzle, and the link contains no account, device identifier, contact information, or device-local challenge name. You can use the offline code instead.
Support, Privacy Policy, and the challenge fallback are ordinary web pages hosted by Vercel. If you choose to open one, the website host processes standard web-request information such as an IP address in order to deliver the page. That happens outside the app; Coin Tray does not receive or store the request data.
What is not collected
- No name, email address, or any other contact information
- No device identifiers, advertising ID, or IP address logging
- No usage analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry
- No location data
- No contacts, photos, microphone, or camera access — the app does not request these permissions
Advertising and tracking
Coin Tray shows no ads and contains no advertising or attribution SDKs. It does not track you across apps or websites, and it never presents the App Tracking Transparency prompt, because it has nothing to ask for.
Purchases
Coin Tray is free and contains no in-app purchases or subscriptions. No payment information is ever involved.
Children
Coin Tray is suitable for all ages and is safe for children: since it collects no data at all, it collects nothing from children either. There is no chat, public feed, account, or server-hosted user content. Shared challenges contain only a bounded puzzle configuration and score targets; user-entered challenge names remain on the device.
Your rights
Regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data a company holds about you. There is no such data here to act on — the developer holds nothing about you. The only app data that exists is on your own device. You can delete individual saved challenges in the app, reset campaign progress in Settings, or erase all local data by deleting the app.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of Coin Tray ever collects anything, this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be described here with a new effective date.
